3776957 - Custom Field of type "Web Address" is not working as an HyperLink in SAP GUI applications - S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

You created a Custom Field of type "Web Address" to add to a SAP GUI application and the field is not working as an hyperlink. 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 

1. Created a Custom Field. The field type was set to Web Address.
2. After creating the custom field, enabled all applicable usages (UI, APIs and other relevant options) and successfully published the field.
3. The custom field is successfully displayed on the application. The URL is displayed. However, when clicking on the URL, it does not open in a new browser tab or navigate to the specified web address. The URL does not function as a clickable hyperlink.

This is expected behavior for SAP GUI applications.

In SAP GUI applications this field type will be rendered as a URL text field and not as a HyperLink.
