3776973 - Profile Error 400 When Adding First Data Entry via MDF Deeplink

Symptom

When adding the first piece of data to a user via MDF Deeplink, an error 400 appears on the page after entering the effective start date: Looks like something went wrong.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Configure the MDF deeplink:https://<app-server-domain>/sf/liveprofile?mdfObjectType=<objectType>&assignmentId=<assignmentID> in the Quick Link or elsewhere
  2. Click the link to add initial data for the user
  3. Enter the effective Start Date and click apply
  4. Error message appears: "Looks like something went wrong." The error 400 help text prompts: "Please pass in a non-empty value for timeslices for draft relevant request."
