3777002 - data controller assignment mismatch during business partner replication (bp_datarepl_fnd 014) s/4hana

• Data controller assignment error occurs during replication from s/4hana to s/4hana cloud.
• Error message: BP_DATAREPL_FND 014 — business partner cannot be updated; data controller assignment doesn't match.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Configure the target s/4hana cloud system with a Data Controller assigned for business partner data protection.
2. Replicate a business partner from a source s/4hana system where Data Controller is not maintained, or send an inbound payload that omits or contains a non-matching DataController element.
3. Monitor inbound processing; the message fails with error BP_DATAREPL_FND 014 indicating the data controller assignment does not match.

The target system has a Data Controller assigned for the business partner, but the inbound payload does not provide a matching DataController list or value. The DRF compliance check detects the mismatch and rejects the update.

1. In the target system, open the Communication Arrangement used for inbound Business Partner replication.
2. Maintain the Data Controller in the Communication Arrangement to the intended value for Business Partner data protection.
3. In the integration mapping, do not send DataController segments for this replication scenario, or ensure the DataController value exactly matches the Data Controller configured in the target.
4. Re-run the replication and verify that the inbound message is processed without BP_DATAREPL_FND 014.
5. To validate the inbound payload and processing result, use the Message Monitoring application in the target system.
