• Attempt to Associate Categories with Competencies by Syncing Categories via the Competency Connector.
• After running the Competency Connector, categories are not linked to the corresponding competencies.
• No error messages are shown and the connector run completes successfully.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

• Associating categories with competencies via the Competency connector is not supported.
• Categories in BizX are not the same as categories in Learning Management System(LMS).
• The Competency connector is designed to create new competencies from the competency library export (Career Development Plan) and does not handle category associations.
• There is no category concept in HCM for this connector to map from.

1. Do not use the Competency connector for category-to-competency association; it is not supported for this purpose.
2. Update competency categories manually within Learning Management System(LMS).
3. Note that there is no mass update capability to assign categories to competencies in Learning Management System(LMS).
4. Be aware that enabling competency.connector.sf.enableCategorySync=Y does not enable Learning category association for competencies.
