3777173 - Signal 11 (SIGSEGV)  Stack trace with memfree leads to ASE crash - SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

  • Stack trace reported SAP ASE server. 
  • The ASE errorlog contains a message 'rm_prochdr'  or  Address (memfree+0x13b) followed by a stack trace, for example

        server (rm_prochdr)
        Current Process tried to remove PROC_HDR 
        Address 0x0x000000000155f0cb (memfree+0x13b), siginfo (code, address) = (128, 0x(nil))
        Current process (0x65f302ff) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV) 

  • Stack traces include functions:

        rm_prochdr
        uc_mcontext.gregs
        memfree
