3777178 - Specialities of Configurable Sales Order Items with Serial Numbers

• Given: You have an AVC configurable product that uses a serial number profile. During sales order item creation, a serial number is assigned to this product either automatically or manually.
• When: You save the sales item, then reopen the sales configuration and switch to Engineering-to-Order (ETO) processing.
• Then: Upon the next opening of the sales order item configuration, it becomes read-only with the following restrictions:
  • The "Handover to Engineering" action is not available in the footer bar if it was not executed previously.
  • If you handed over to engineering immediately after switching to ETO, you can process the item in the Order Engineering Worklist. However, after completing engineering, you cannot "Accept" or "Reject" the changes in the sales order.
