3777319 - Automatic hire business rule does not re-evaluate another time after the process is completed - Onboarding

• The Automatic Hire business rule does not initiate as expected for hires whose start date becomes within 30 days after Final Review.
• The requirement is to automatically hire new hires when their start date falls within 30 days of the current date.
• The rule evaluates and runs only once at the moment the Final Review step is completed.
• Candidates remain in Manage Pending Hires, and the system does not re-evaluate the rule after Final Review.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Configure the Automatic Hire business rule to run when a new hire’s start date is within 30 days of the current date.
2. Complete the Final Review step for a new hire.
3. Observe that the rule only evaluates and runs at Final Review and does not re-evaluate while the candidate is in Manage Pending Hires.

The behavior is by design: Automatic Hire is an event-driven rule that evaluates only at Final Review step (or any step that completes Onboarding). 

The Automatic Hire rule evaluates once the Onboarding steps are all completed and does not re-evaluate later. There is no recurring or scheduled re-evaluation once candidates are in Manage Pending Hires.

If the automatic hiring rule is not matched, consider one of the following options:

• Perform manual hiring from Manage Pending Hires when the start date approaches.
• Adjust the rule condition so it aligns with typical timelines (for example, ensure most hires meet the 30-day condition at Final Review).
• Submit an enhancement request asking for scheduled or recurring evaluation of Automatic Hire rules for candidates in Manage Pending Hires.
