3777414 - Out of office banner shows no "Back On" date for consecutive absences - SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off

• The Out of Office banner in People Profile/Spotlight shows only "Out Of Office" and does not display a "Back on" date when there are two consecutive approved absences (for example, a leave of absence followed immediately by a vacation).
• Both absences have defined end dates and are approved.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off

1. Create two consecutive approved absences for a user (for example, a leave of absence ending on day X, immediately followed by another absence starting on day X+1), both with determined end dates and without flexible requesting.
2. Open the user’s People Profile or Spotlight to view the Out of Office banner.
3. Observe that the banner displays "Out Of Office" without a "Back on" date.

This is expected behavior for consecutive absences.

After the first leave, the system scans the next 14 calendar days whether the employee is working on any day:

If yes, this date will be set as "Back On" info.

If there is no working day in the next 14 days, "Back On" info is not shown.

1. Verify that the absences are consecutive (no gap day) and both are approved with determined end dates and without flexible requesting.
2. Check the user’s work schedule after the first absence ends and determine whether there is a working day within the next 14 calendar days.
3. If there is no working day within 14 calendar days, note that the banner will show only “Out Of Office” by design; no action is required.
4. If a “Back on” date must appear, ensure at least one working day falls within 14 calendar days after the first absence end date (for example, adjust the timing of subsequent absences or review the work schedule), subject to business policy.
