Unwanted activity type shown in the actual cost rate calculation result

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the “Actual Cost Rate Calculation - Cost Centers” app (KSII).
2. Enter the required selection parameters (for example, ledger, company code, period, fiscal year).
3. Select Test Run and Detail Lists, then start the run.
4. Choose Display Splitting Result and observe that an activity type not planned for specific cost centers is included in the calculation.
5. In “Manage Cost Rates – Plan” (F3162), confirm there is no planned cost rate for that activity type in the affected cost centers.

• A cost center and activity type combination exists in backend tables due to prior cost rate maintenance or there are postings made to such combination and is considered during actual cost rate calculation.
• Even if cost rates are later deleted or reversal of posting, the combination persists by design, which can lead to the unwanted activity type being included.

We have correction report FINS_CO_COKA_CSSL_DELETE to delete such combination of cost center + activity type, however, there are 2 preconditions to use that report:
When the cost rates for this year were deleted AND no financial documents with this cost center/activity type had been posted in this year.

If above 2 preconditions can still be fulfilled, kindly raise a SAP Case for the deletion of such combination with the written approval.
Kindly be noticed, the reversal of financial documents are not supported, the precondition is that there's no postings ever posted for such combination.
