3777964 - Calendar Year as Suffix Option Not Available For Customer Invoice Numbering in Mexico

While configuring customer invoice numbering, the “Calendar Year as Suffix” option is not available for Mexico.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Select Overview View.
3. Search for “Document Numbering Formats for Customer Invoicing”.
4. Choose “Document Numbering Formats Specific to Mexico”.
5. In Result tab “Calendar Year as Suffix” option is not available.

The system adheres to country-specific legal requirements for Mexico (CFDI). Invoice identification is governed by the e-invoicing framework with certified PAC requirements, which enforces series/folio structures. Therefore, numbering options like “Calendar Year as Suffix” are not supported.

1. Note that “Calendar Year as Suffix” is not supported for Mexico due to CFDI legal requirements and PAC certification.
