3778006 - Is it possible to dynamically filter a Story report for the user accessing it?

Symptom

How to filter the Story report output for the access user only?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Resolution

It is not possible to dynamically filter a Story report for the user accessing it using the Scope Filter available for a few schemas at the query-level for a few schemas.

Alternatively, as a workaround, you may grant the access user permission(s) to see the data in the Story report solely from a role that grants themselves only as the target population.

  • I.e.: for the access user to see only themselves in data fetched from the Basic User Information table, the user would need to be granted the Manage User > 'Data Access: User' permission from a single role that only includes themselves in the target population
