3778153 - Latest Applicant Workbench - Candidate Moved Back Due to Candidate Status Picklist Mismatch - Recruiting Management

Symptom

  • In the Latest Applicant Workbench, the Candidate Status displayed in the header and the Candidate Status picklist field in the Application Information section become out of sync after status updates.
  • The Candidate Status picklist field in the Application Information section continues to display the old status. If other fields are edited and saved, the old status value is also saved, causing the candidate to be moved back to the old status unintentionally.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Click the Move button.
  2. Move the candidate to a different status.
  3. Verify that the Candidate Status displayed in the header is updated to the new status.
  4. Observe that the Candidate Status picklist field still displays the old status.

Cause

This is a Known Issue.

This issue occurs when the candidate is moved from a sub-status to another status using the Move button.

Resolution

Product Engineering team has delivered a microservice patch to address the issue. The schedule is as below:

  • Preview: 21-July-2026
  • Production: 23-July-2026

27-July Update:

The issue persists after the patch. The difference is that the status picklist value is eventually synced after a manual page refresh. However, if the user clicks the Edit button without refreshing the page, the old status value is still displayed.

The Product Engineering team is actively investigating this issue. This KBA will be updated once the fix timeline has been confirmed.

Workaround

This issue occurs when the candidate status is updated using the Move button on an individual application page.

Workarounds:

  • Update the candidate status using the Candidate Status picklist field in the Application Information section.
  • Update the candidate status using the Move button from the application list page.
