3778690 - Error pops up when adding a new concurrent assignment

A user initially had a primary assignment and a concurrent assignment. Then both assignments got terminated and rehired at the same effective date. When trying to upload a new concurrent assignment, error popped up "Please make sure that the start date is not before the hire date."

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. A user has an existing primary assignment and a concurrent assignment.
2. Terminate both assignments with termination date 2026.7.31, the in job information termination record, the effective date is 2026.8.1.
3. Rehire both assignments with effective date 2026.8.1 via import.
4. Try to add a new concurrent assignment via UI or import, error pops up "Please make sure that the start date is not before the hire date."

In manage data->secondary assignment, the secondary assignment effective date was not updated after the rehire import. We need a code fix to ensure that secondary assignment effective date is properly updated after rehire and termination import

This is a Known Issue.

Workaround: Manually add a new time slice in manage data->secondary assignment which reflects the rehire date of the concurrent assignment 

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release.
