3779307 - solr startup error "solrcore failed to load on startup - failed to delete data dir for unloaded core" after solr upgrade over 9.8

Symptom

  • An error occurs on solr admin logging when run full indexing: 
    • SolrCore failed to load on startup
    • Failed to delete data dir for unloaded core
    • java.nio.file.NoSuchFileException: /var/solr/xxxxxx/data
  • Removing all collections even pvc still cannot resolve this error
  • solr pod log:
    org.apache.solr.common.SolrException: Error CREATEing SolrCore 'master_backoffice_backoffice_product_flip_shard1_replica_n4': Unable to create core [master_backoffice_backoffice_product_flip_shard1_replica_n4] Caused by: solr.ICUNormalizer2CharFilterFactory
        at org.apache.solr.core.CoreContainer.create(CoreContainer.java:1674)
