Symptom
- When the tunnel connection for Datasphere (DSP) live connection is enabled, any NQL query in Just Ask returns results from a DSP model.
- The DSP model is top-ranked, preventing selection of import models in Just Ask.
- Just Ask does not function as expected when the DSP tunnel connection is enabled.
Environment
- Product: SAP Analytics Cloud
- SAC Just Ask
- Analytical Insights in Joule
- SAP Datasphere (DSP)
Reproducing the Issue
- Log in to the SAP Analytics Cloud tenant.
- Ensure a Datasphere live connection via tunnel is enabled and that a Datasphere user is configured under Remote Connection > Logon Details.
- Open Just Ask.
- Do not select a model.
- Ask a query such as “show me sales by country”.
- Observe that the result is generated from a Datasphere model, even though import models are available.
Cause
- This issue is fixed by Just Ask development team. The fix is applied to production tenant already.
- If you face the same issue again. appreciate to raise a case to LOD-ANA-ASK component.
Resolution
- Open Just Ask.
- Go to Manage Models.
- Identify the relevant Datasphere Acquired model(s).
- Set these model(s) to Hidden so they are not considered by Just Ask.
- Run the NQL query again; the remaining eligible models (for example, import models) can now be used for results.
- Note: A product fix has been planned for a future release and will be delivered to production once available.
