3779635 - "You do not have permission to edit the value. Please contact your system administrator." error when submitting Higher Duty - Employee Central

• A permission error occurs when submitting a Higher Duty/Temporary Assignment only when the Manager field is populated as per guidance in the referenced article.
• Error displayed: “You do not have permission to edit the value. Please contact your system administrator.”

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Navigate to employee profile;
2. Click on Actions > Add: Higher Duty/Temporary Assignment;
3. Populate the desired fields > Save;
4. Observe the error: “You do not have permission to edit the value. Please contact your system administrator.”

Known issue. 

Engineering team is currently investigating the issue. Please follow this KBA for updates.

Workaround: raise a Support Ticket providing Company ID, if it's Prod/Preview/Dev, Data Center, and written authorization to enable the feature toggle that will temporarily solve the issue.
