3779746 - Scheduled job behavior after removing job owner's permissions in scheduled job manager

Symptom

  • Inquiry about whether removing user permissions can cause a standard scheduled job to fail.
  • Major permissions were removed from the job owner, but the scheduled job continued to run successfully.
  • Questions on whether user permissions impact running scheduled standard jobs and which specific permissions are required.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Cause

Resolution

  • Removing the job owner's permissions will not affect the execution of already scheduled jobs. The job will continue to run as per its schedule, provided the job user has the required authorizations.
  • The job owner's permissions are only relevant for actions performed on the job outside of its execution, such as canceling the job or reading job details.
