3779869 - How to prevent users from deleting case notes by configuring note types

• In Case > General > Notes, users see a Delete option on existing notes.
• There is a requirement to hide or disable the Delete option to avoid unintended note removal.
• No error messages are shown.

SAP Service Cloud Version 2

1. Open a Case.
2. Navigate to General > Notes.
3. Create or select an existing note.
4. Observe that a Delete option is available for the note.

You can decide if the note is deletable in Data administration.

1. Go to All settings > Data administration.
2. Open Note type assignment and choose Case.
3. Select the note type that should not be deletable.
4. Change Deletable By to None.
5. Save the changes.
6. Verify by adding a note of that type and confirming the Delete option is no longer available.
