Symptom
- A user exists in SAP SuccessFactors but is not synchronized to SAP Cloud Identity Services – Identity Authentication.
- The user is unable to authenticate to SAP SuccessFactors through Identity Authentication.
- The user needs to be manually created in Identity Authentication.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
- SAP Cloud Identity Services – Identity Authentication IAS
Resolution
The user can be manually added to SAP Cloud Identity Services – Identity Authentication by following the steps below:
- Log on to the SAP Cloud Identity Services administration console.
- Go to User Management.
- Select Add User.
- Enter the user's First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.
- Enter Login Name. This log on name must match the exact username of the user in the SAP SuccessFactors, including case, unless Non Case Sensitive Usernames is selected in the Admin Center > Manage SAML SSO Settings page.
- Ensure that the Login Name matches the user's Username in SAP SuccessFactors. The exact case must also match unless the non-case-sensitive username option is enabled in SAP SuccessFactors.
- Select Employee as the User Type.
- Complete the user creation based on the required account activation option.
