The issue was caused by a limitation in the backend processing required for Enhanced People Search. Under certain conditions, the required permission calculations took longer than expected, impacting the availability of search functionality for some tenants in DC62.

Our Engineering team has completed its investigation and identified that the search issue in DC62 was caused by delays in the backend Role-Based Permissions (RBP) service. Further analysis confirmed that the current framework was unable to efficiently scale the required target population calculations, resulting in the observed search issue.

To address this, the following actions have been taken:

• Immediate mitigation: The affected tenants are currently undergoing the off-boarding process and are being reverted to Solr-based (Legacy) Search to restore search functionality and minimize further customer impact. The off-boarding process is now completed for all DC 62 tenants and all affected tenants have been successfully restored. 
• Long-term resolution: Our Engineering team is actively working on a permanent solution to address this limitation before the next rollout for DC62.
