3780155 - Changes to CDS View I_CustUnivHierarchy from SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2608

After upgrading to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2608, custom OData services based on the CDS view I_CustUnivHierarchy may exhibit changes in the text values returned for the attribute UniversalHierarchy.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• In releases prior to 2608, the text association for the attribute UniversalHierarchy in the CDS view I_CustUnivHierarchy incorrectly pointed to the CDS view I_CustUnivHierarchyNodeText_2.
• Starting with release 2608, this has been corrected to ensure semantic consistency. The attribute UniversalHierarchy now uses the correct text association I_CustUnivHierarchyText_2.
• If a custom OData service or custom application is based on the CDS view I_CustUnivHierarchy, review the implementation after the system upgrade.
• If the implementation relies on the text association of UniversalHierarchy, verify that it behaves as expected with the corrected association I_CustUnivHierarchyText_2 and update the implementation if necessary.
• The association to I_CustUnivHierarchyNodeText_2 continues to exist and can still be consumed explicitly if required.
