3780367 - API Call to Retrieve Contract Workspace with CLID Returns HTTP 504 Gateway Timeout

Symptom

When using the Retrieve Contract Workspaces API to fetch a contract that includes a Contract Line Item Document (CLID) with high data volume, the request fails after approximately 6 minutes with the following error:
HTTP 504 Gateway Timeout
"The upstream server is timing out"
Observed behavior pattern:
  • Contracts with smaller CLIDs complete successfully
  • Contracts with larger CLIDs — particularly those with many attributes per line item — consistently time out
  • The failure occurs consistently at the ~6 minute mark regardless of retry attempts
