3780540 - Discrepancy Between Depreciation Run Log and Asset Balances Report

Observed a discrepancy while executing the Depreciation Run. The amount displayed in the depreciation log does not match the amount shown in the Asset Balances report.

SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

Check the depreciation run log, and the amount for ordinary depreciation is AAA (AAA represents the depreciation amount).

Check the Asset Balances report, the amount for ordinary depreciation is BBB (BBB represents the ordinary depreciation amount).

If comparing the depreciation run log and the asset balances report, can see some Fixed Assets are excluded from the Asset Balance report.

The reason is that the corresponding Deactivation Date is smaller than the End Date of the Fiscal Period in the report selection.. 
The Asset Balance report is only showing Fixed Assets where the Deactivation Date is empty or where the Deactivation Date is greater than the End Date of the Fiscal Period.
