3780583 - Main new employment field is missing while performing the termination of primary employment-1H2026

Symptom

Employee has three concurrent employments. CEs are stated as:

CE1 hired and terminated in past
CE2 hired in past and terminate in future (31/07/2027)
CE3 hired in future(1/08/2027)
Now when trying to terminate main employment with date 31/07/2027 in that main new employment field is not showing and clicking on submit getting the error:

"New main employment id is blank or is not an active employment, please provide New Main Emloyment Id from the active employments list - [XXX1, XXX2]. "

System is not able to find the any active employment on the 31/07/2027 due to that main new employment field is missing and getting that error.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central 1H 2026

  • Concurrent Employment
  • Termination

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open person XXX's profile, select main employment > all actions > terminate
  2. Before selecting termination date, click on "show more fields", found there is a field "new main employment"
  3. Select termination date as "2028/7/31", then field "new main employment" disappeared
  4. Save the page, error occurred: New main employment id is blank or is not an active employment, please provide New Main Employment Id from the active employments list - [XXX1, XXX2]. 

Cause

This is a Known Issue.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release.

After the fix is applied, "New Main employment" field will not disappear and in that field need to select the new employment.
