3780677 - HTTP 500 error when downloading or previewing Workspace files in SAP Build Work Zone

• Users are unable to download files uploaded to Workspaces.
• Download attempts redirect and display an error page.
• Error message: "Sorry, an error has occurred. We're working to resolve the issue. Please contact us for assistance."
• HTTP status: 500 Internal Server Error.
• Issue started around 17:22 KST on July 8, 2026.
• In some cases, file previews in workspaces also fail with the same 500 error.

SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone

1. Attempt to download a file uploaded to a Workspace.
2. Observe that the request is redirected and an error page is shown with HTTP 500 and the message "Sorry, an error has occurred. We're working to resolve the issue. Please contact us for assistance."
3. Optionally, attempt to preview an uploaded file in a workspace and observe the same error.

A defect in a backend beta functionality that introduced a new streaming download path caused document access failures.

In tenant migration/legacy path scenarios, document URLs were not resolved correctly, leading to HTTP 500 during download and preview.

As an immediate mitigation, SAP Engineering disabled the affected backend streaming functionality, restoring document download and preview.

A permanent code correction is scheduled for 23 July 2026.
