3780687 - SAP Incentive Management: XDL Creates a New Version When the Effective Date Differs, While ODI Skips the Record

Symptom

  • In Oracle, when loading an ODI file, if the record already exists and only the effective date differs, the record is skipped and not loaded.
  • In HANA, when loading the same record via xdl and only the effective date differs, the record is processed and a new effective-dated version is created, although all business attributes are unchanged.
  • Clarification requested whether xdl should create a new record/version when no business data changes.
