3781007 - Error: "CMN.ATO.GEN.XML03 - A field contains invalid data" when submitting STP2 to ATO

Symptom

During STP2 generation and submission to the ATO, the file is rejected in PB2A.

  • ATO validation Error CMN.ATO.GEN.XML03 /tns:PAYEVNTEMP/tns:Payee/tns:AddressDetails/tns:CountryC — "A field contains invalid data (such as letters in numeric or date field)."
  • In the Payee Data report, the Country value for impacted payees appears as uppercase "AU" instead of lowercase "au".
