3781032 - Empty values when expanding hierarchies in upward direction in Analysis Office

• Post upgrading Analysis Office to 2.8 SP29 and SP30, for query result that has both dimension hierarchy and key figure structure with hierarchical display, if dimension hierarchy is set to upward direction by 1) in query definition the hierarchy setting for “Position of Lower-Level Nodes” is set to “Above”, or 2) in AO runtime changing the dimension hierarchy direction to Upwards direction with “Expand Upwards (Rows)” option, then the expanded hierarchy nodes/leaves display empty values.
• This issue is not reproducible in RSRT. Issue only occurs in frontend tools that uses BICS library, such as Analysis Office.

Following reproduce steps shows steps to reproduce the issue in AO runtime with “Expand Upwards (Rows)” hierarchy option. But please note this issue does not happen exclusively during AO runtime hierarchy direction change, if in query definition level the dimension hierarchy's setting for “Position of Lower-Level Nodes” is already set to “Above”, then this issue also occurrs.

1. Open the query in Analysis Office.
2. In Columns, expand the measure structure's hierarchy display to lowest level.
   
3. In Rows, activate a hierarchy for dimension.
   
4. Expand the dimension hierarchy nodes.
5. Values for the expanded hierarchy nodes are displayed correctly.
   
6. Click on the dimension, and click Hierarchy->Expand Upwards(Rows).
   
7. Intersection cells of expanded dimension hierarchy nodes/leaves and measure structure lowest level members become empty.
   

A side effect introduced with BICS Note 3673553 (delivered with AO 2.8 SP29).

Issue will be fixed in AO 2.8 SP31, which includes the BICS correction in SAP Note 3772824.
