3781174 - SAP S/4HANA depreciation posting document shows more line items than in ECC

Symptom

  • Transaction AFAB - depreciation posting in S4 shows more line items than in ECC and also variable document line counts in general ledger view 
  • Transaction AFAB > Display document > general ledger view shows additional document line items compared to ECC.
  • Depreciation run may create multiple documents; individual documents often contain around 400 or around 498 line items instead of a perceived maximum such as 999.
  • No error message or error code reported.
