3781289 - Unable to Access ReportObjectConfigEntity and ReportSchemaConfigEntity While Using Proxy in Manage Data

When accessing Manage Data > ReportObjectConfigEntity while using the Proxy feature, the page cannot be accessed and users receive a permission-related error.

The issue only occurs during a proxy session. The same user can access the object successfully when logging in directly.

Application logs contain entries similar to:

• No proxy permission for ReportObjectConfigEntity
• Proxy User is not allowed to access the Object: ReportObjectConfigEntity

• SAP SuccessFactors HCM
• Metadata Framework
• Manage Data
• Report Object Configure Entity
• Report Schema Configure Entity

1. Grant a user the required permissions to access Manage Data > ReportObjectConfigEntity.
2. Log in as another administrator.
3. Use the Proxy feature to proxy as the affected user.
4. Navigate to Manage Data.
5. Attempt to open ReportObjectConfigEntity.

Result: Access is denied and the object cannot be opened while using Proxy.

Expected: The administrator expects the proxied user to have the same access as when logged in directly.

This is expected system behavior.

ReportObjectConfigEntity is not accessible through the Proxy feature. Proxy security restrictions prevent access to this MDF object, even if the proxied user has the required permissions.

This behavior is by design.

To access Manage Data > ReportObjectConfigEntity, the affected user must log in directly rather than using the Proxy feature.

Granting additional permissions to the logged-in (proxying) user does not allow access to this object while proxying.

There is currently no supported method to enable proxy access to ReportObjectConfigEntity.
