What is Get Feedback?
The Get Feedback button allows a planner/reviewer to send the entire worksheet to someone who is outside the standard route map in order to collect additional input - either through comments or edits - that will be placed directly on the worksheet.
How to enable or disable it?
If you would like to have the button visible in the worksheet, ensure that one or both of the settings 'Disable Ask for Comment Routing' and 'Disable Ask for Edit Routing' are not ticked/enabled in Advanced Settings of your template
If you would like to disable this button in worksheet entirely, you can tick/enable this settings in Advanced Settings of your template
These settings are found in Plan Setup -> Settings -> Advanced Settings in your template:
What happens when I press the 'Get Feedback' button?
- You will be brought to a screen to search for the user you want to send the worksheet to
- Once selecting, you will informed that "You’re about to send this form to the next person(s) specified in the workflow." You will then be asked to select either Comments OR Edits.
- Once confirmed, the worksheet will appear in the Inbox of the user you sent it to. For the person who sent it, the worksheet will be visible in 'En Route', but they will not be able to edit anything in the worksheet now since they send the worksheet to get feedback.
If asked for Comments:
- The user who receives the worksheet will be able to input comments into the worksheet were there is comment boxes
- They will not be able to edit any fields
If asked for Edits:
- The user who receives the worksheet will be able to make edits/changed in any column that is editable
- They can also leave comments in comment boxes
- The worksheet will remain visible for the feedback provider in Compensation even when it is sent back. The worksheet will be visible in 'En Route' or in 'Unfiled', depending on the current status of the worksheet
Additional Details:
- Once the feedback provider is done, they can press the "Send to [USER]" which will send the worksheet back to the inbox of the person who originally sent it over
- When the worksheet is with a user who was selected for 'Get Feedback', the worksheet will still be considered with the person who initiated 'Get Feedback' in Manage Worksheets in your template
- The initial planner/reviewer does not have the option to recall the worksheet back to them once they go through with 'Get Feedback'. The only way to change it would be for the feedback provider to send it back to the planner/reviewer, or if the worksheet is to be routed to a step via "Route Forms".
- If you have 'Disable Ask for Comment Routing' turned on -> you will only be able to select Edits in Get Feedback
- If you have 'Disable Ask for Edit Routing' turned on -> you will only be able to select Comments in Get Feedback
