3781541 - SAC, add-in for Microsoft Excel: – Login blank screen for MAC users

Symptom

  1. The issue is only happening to MAC users.
    1. Open Excel Application
    2. Click on the Tab SAP Analytics Cloud
    3. Start a Connection in Excel to the SAC Domain: Tenant URL
    4. A new blank browser page opens.
  2. har netowrk trace shows /sap/fpa/ui/office/starter.html endpoint returns a HTTP 401 error

Environment

SAP Analytic Cloud 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Excel Application
  2. Click on the Tab SAP Analytics Cloud
  3. Start a Connection in Excel to the SAC Domain: Tenant URL
  4. A new blank browser page opens.

Cause

a defect found with a specific authentication pathway for SAC in combination with the Excel add-in.

Resolution

a fix will be delivered on Jul.18.2026
