When a Job Requisition is closed, the same Recruiting user receives multiple "Requisition Closed" email notifications simultaneously.

The expected behavior is for the user to receive a single notification from the Requisition Closed recruiting email trigger. Instead, multiple identical email notifications are received.

This behavior occurs when the following email notification configuration is in place:

• The Recruiting Email Trigger "Requisition Closed" is enabled and configured to send the "Sample Only" email template to the Recruiting user (for example, the Hiring Manager).
• In Manage Recruiting Settings, the option "Automatically disposition non-selected in-progress applicants on closed requisitions to status 'Requisition Closed'" is enabled.
• In Applicant Status Configuration, within the Status Set assigned to the Job Requisition, the Requisition Closed application status is also configured to send the same "Sample Only" email template to the same Recruiting user (for example, the Hiring Manager).

As a result, when the Job Requisition is closed:

• The Recruiting Email Trigger sends one "Requisition Closed" notification.
• Each candidate automatically moved to the Requisition Closed application status triggers an additional status email to the same recipient.

The total number of emails received therefore depends on the number of applicants automatically transitioned to the Requisition Closed status.

To prevent the Recruiting user (for example, the Hiring Manager) from receiving multiple "Requisition Closed" email notifications while still receiving the requisition closure notification, remove the email templates configured for the Requisition Closed application status.

This ensures that only the Recruiting Email Trigger "Requisition Closed" sends the notification when the Job Requisition is closed, eliminating the additional emails generated by the automatic status change of each applicant.
