3781599 - SPAM fails with ASE SQL156 error during CDS view activation

Symptom

  • During ST-PI upgrade from SAP Basis 7.40 SP06 to SP09 in transaction SPAM, the phase CHECK_REQUIREMENTS stops with error: Unknown Object "M_V_M2S_PD_ITM".
  • Activation of CDS views fails with database errors while creating views in the database (for example, CDS_M_PHL_EKBE_C).

    [ASE Error SQL156] Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'END'.
    The SQL statement was not executed. An error occurred when creating view CDS_M_PHL_EKBE_C in the database. View CDS_M_PHL_EKBE_C was not activated.
