Symptom

Clarification is required on the usage and processing key compatibility of costing variants PYR8 and PYR9. 

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open CBC configuration “Assign Event-Based Processing Key and Costing Variants to Order Types (SSCUI 102431)”.
  2. Select a plant and a production order type, then open the Cost Accounting tab.
  3. Review the Planned Cost Costing Variant dropdown and observe the costing variants PYR8 and PYR9. 

Resolution

    If a valuation variant without a costing sheet is required, consider PYR8 or PYR9; both can be used with processing key RSEBW.
