3781716 - Unable To Find Business Context For Purchase Contract In Custom Fields App

In the Custom Fields app, the expected Business Context for “Purchase Contract” is not available when creating a new field.

 SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Custom Fields app.
2. Select New Field.
3. In Business Context search, enter “Purchase Contract”.
4. Observe that a Business Context for Purchase Contract is not found.

Purchase Contract and Purchase Order share the same Purchasing Document business context, so a created field may appear on both PO and Contract UI — control visibility separately via UI Adaptation

If the field should only be visible on Contract, configure it individually in UI Adaptation from the Manage Purchase Contracts app.
