3781796 - "Define Allowlists for CDS View Extraction" missing when configure Authorization Group ID

Symptom

When creating Communication Arrangement (eg: SAP_COM_0531, SAP_COM_0532) for SAP Datasphere, an Authorization Group ID is required.

However, the "Define Allowlists for CDS View Extraction" configuration activity is not visible.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
SAP Datasphere

Cause

Scope item "Data Privacy and Protection"(5LE) is not activated.

Resolution

To access the configuration for CDS view allowlists, activate the scope item Data Protection and Privacy (5LE) in your environment. Please refer to Connecting to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition | SAP Help Portal.

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, you've created at least one authorization group ID with a CDS view allowlist as follows:
1. If you're using the Manage Your Solution app, you can define a CDS view allowlist in the Configure Your Solution section with the self-service configuration Define Allowlists for CDS View Extraction.
  Apply this filter to find it: Application Area Application Platform and Infrastructure, Sub Application Area Data Extraction). Then select the item Data Extraction.
2. If you're using SAP Central Business Configuration, you can define a CDS view allowlist in the configuration activity Define Allowlists for CDS View Extraction (Configuration Activities General Settings Further Settings).
