• Running sp_stop_rep_agent reports:
    "The Replication Agent thread for the database is being stopped. (return status = 0)"
  but the Rep Agent never terminates.
• Subsequent sp_start_rep_agent fails with:
    Msg 9431, Level 16, State 0: Procedure 'sp_start_rep_agent': A Rep Agent Thread for the database is being stopped.
    Msg 18421, Level 16, State 1: Procedure 'sp_start_rep_agent': Failed to start the Replication Agent thread for the database. (return status = 1)
• DBCC stacktrace on the Rep Agent spid shows a call stack including:
    upsleepgeneric
    ksctsuspend
    ra_get_rs_truncpt
    rep_agent_thread

• SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) 16.0
• SAP Replication Server (SRS) 16.0
