3781885 - ERROR "Please contact your administrator. Model: SAP__SAC_USAGE_USERS" when opening a story based on SAP__SAC_USAGE_USERS model. In SAP Analytics Cloud.

• Conversion of Classic Stories to the Optimized Design Experience fails in the preview environment when using the SAP__SAC_USAGE_USERS model.
• When selecting “Convert to Optimized Story”, errors appear: “Please contact your administrator. Model: SAP__SAC_USAGE_USERS” (with correlation ID).
• An additional error appears: “Model information cannot be found.” (with correlation ID).
• HAR/console logs show server error (#42208): “Can’t read the view … reason: No view exists with the name … sap.epm.usage/SAP__SAC_USAGE_USERS”.
• Opening the SAP__SAC_USAGE_USERS model is slow or fails and logs the same #42208 message.

SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Log on to the tenant with a user that has permission to access and convert stories.
2. Navigate to Stories and open the Story Conversion tab.
3. Select a Classic story that uses the SAP__SAC_USAGE_USERS model.
4. Choose Convert to Optimized Story (or Convert and Save As).
5. Observe errors such as “Please contact your administrator. Model: SAP__SAC_USAGE_USERS” and “Model information cannot be found”. In traces, note server error (#42208) indicating the view for SAP__SAC_USAGE_USERS cannot be read.

The SAP__SAC_USAGE_USERS model is a deprecated legacy model previously delivered by SAP as part of the old SAC standard content. It has since been replaced by newer standard content and is no longer accessible or supported.

This is expected behavior and not a product defect. Since the legacy model is deprecated and inaccessible, the affected stories cannot be run or converted.

Recommended action:

1. Confirm the affected stories are no longer in use (they cannot be executed in any case).
2. Ignore or delete these legacy stories—no conversion is needed.
3. For equivalent functionality, use the current SAC standard content that replaced the legacy models.
