3781927 - Unable to export only selected columns from the Customer Data Browser App

Symptom

When exporting data from the "Customer Data Browser" app, the exported file contains all available data source columns instead of only the columns selected and displayed in the table.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the "Customer Data Browser" app.
  2. Select a data source.
  3. Configure the table to display only a specific selection of columns.
  4. Export the table.
  5. Open the exported file and observe that all the columns are included.

Cause

It's Standard behavior the export includes all available columns from the data source, not only the columns selected.

Resolution

Currently, there is no standard option to export only the selected/displayed columns from the data source in the "Customer Data Browser" app.

If this functionality is required for your business, submit a feature request at  Influence Opportunity Homepage - Customer Influence and tag it with "Customer Data Browser".
