Symptom
When creating or updating custom attributes for an Application in SAP API Management programmatically, the API call returns a success response (HTTP 200), however the updated or newly created values are not reflected in the API Business Hub Enterprise (Developer Hub) portal UI.
A GET request to the same endpoint returns the expected values, confirming the data is written at the API layer. The discrepancy is between the API response and what the Developer Hub displays.
The following error may also appear when attempting to add a custom attribute directly through the Developer Hub UI:
"Unable to add a custom attribute. An error occurred while reading the response."
The issue occurs when custom attribute operations are performed against the API Portal service endpoint (apiportal-apiaccess) instead of the Developer Hub service endpoint (devportal-apiaccess).
