Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Migrate Your Data app.

Cause

The business role that provides access to the Migration Cockpit was configured with "No Write" access, which prevents project creation.

Resolution

  1. Identify the business role assigned to the user that provides access to the Migration Cockpit (for example, SAP_BR_CONFIG_EXPERT_DATA_MIG ).
  2. Open the role and review the access level for the relevant business catalogs/authorizations used by the Migration Cockpit.
  3. Change the access level from "No Write" to allow write access (ensure create activity is permitted).
  4. Save the role changes and confirm the role is assigned to the user.
  5. Have the user sign out and sign in again to refresh authorizations.
  6. Retry creating the migration project in the Migration Cockpit.
