3782144 - How to Schedule the DynamicGroupDefinitionReport to Run Multiple Times Per Day in SAP SuccessFactors Provisioning

• Increase the execution frequency of the DynamicGroupDefinitionReport scheduled job in Provisioning.
• Clarification on whether the DynamicGroupDefinitionReport job supports multiple executions within the same day.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

The Dynamic Group Definition Report displays the Include and Exclude People Pool criteria used to define dynamic permission groups.

In addition to People Pool criteria, the report includes:

• Dynamic permission group names
• Total number of members in each group
• Last modified date

When the report runs, a CSV file is generated in the configured destination folder. This file can be used to review or audit dynamic permission group definitions.

Because the report reflects the dynamic permission group criteria configured in your Role-Based Permissions (RBP), it can be scheduled to run regularly to support compliance requirements or to monitor frequent changes to permission group definitions.

Prerequisites

Before scheduling the report:

In Admin Center > Platform Feature Settings, enable Dynamic Group Definition Report.
After enabling the feature, manually create the DynamicGroupDefinitionReport scheduled job in Provisioning.

Note: Enabling the feature starts the synchronization of Employee Central (EC) data used for dynamic permission groups. Changes made to EC data are reflected in the report after the daily synchronization process completes.

To configure the report to run multiple times per day:

1. Log in to Provisioning.
2. Navigate to Manage Scheduled Jobs.
3. Locate or create the DynamicGroupDefinitionReport scheduled job.
4. Configure the desired execution schedule.
5. Submit the job

The report will now execute according to the configured schedule and generate a CSV file for each run.

NOTE

Customers do not have direct access to Provisioning.

To create or modify the DynamicGroupDefinitionReport scheduled job, please contact your implementation partner, Account Executive, or SAP Technical Support and provide the following details:

1. Company ID
2. Required job schedule
3. Confirmation/approval to perform the requested changes in Provisioning
