Symptom

  • Uploading the generated VAT3 XML to the Irish tax authority portal returns: "Registration Number has invalid format in one of the records".
  • The VAT3 XML is generated successfully in digital reporting compliance (DRC), but submission to the portal fails.
  • The same registration number value was previously accepted in earlier submissions.
