3782461 - fiori launchpad opens http url that fails; https works manually but no auto-redirect

Symptom

  • Running the launch transaction opens an HTTP URL that does not work.
  • Changing the SICF “Security Requirement” to SSL to generate an HTTPS URL does not resolve the behavior.
  • Manually opening the HTTPS URL works.
  • Automatic redirect from HTTP to HTTPS does not occur.
  • In another system with the same SICF settings the redirect works, and the HTTP URL location (HTTPURLLOC) is not maintained in either system.
