3782692 - Runtime error in CL_GUI_OBJECT=================CP when accessing a report in SE38 using SAP GUI for Java

Symptom

  • Runtime error: “A RAISE statement in program CL_GUI_OBJECT=================CP has been triggered.”
  • ST22 shows RAISE_EXCEPTION in CL_GUI_SOURCEEDIT=============CP, sometimes with CALL_METHOD and CNTL_ERROR.
  • Error occurs when opening/displaying an ABAP report in SE38/ABAP Editor.
  • Issue observed while attempting to reverse valuation postings via a custom report.
