3782694 - Custom configurations in <app name>.properties files are not retained post upgrade to BI 2025 Patch 700

Symptom

  • Custom configurations in <app name>.properties files under below folders are lost post upgrade from BI 4.3 SP4 Patch 6 to BI 2025 Patch 700
    • Windows O/s:
      • <INSTALLDIR>\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\warfiles\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\config\custom
      • <INSTALLDIR>\SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\config\custom
    • Linux O/s:
      • <INSTALLDIR>/sap_bobj/tomcat/webapps/BOE/WEB-INF/config/custom
      • <INSTALLDIR>/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/warfiles/webapps/BOE/WEB-INF/config/custom 

  • Manual intervention is required to update the configuration files (such as global.properties, CmcApp.properties and FioriBI.properties, etc) post upgrade.
