3782785 - Input Field and Text Area Display Description Instead of Dimension ID in Story Design Mode - SAP Analytics Cloud

• Text area and InputField configured to retrieve a dimension ID (for example, Year.ID) display the description instead of the ID, causing incorrect filter behavior in stories.
• Variable selection for a dimension ID (for example, Company Code.ID) shows a description value instead of the ID.

SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Open a story in design mode with a Text area bound to a dimension ID.
2. In Builder, review the displayed value in the widget.
3. Observe that the widget shows the dimension description instead of the ID.

This issue is documented as a product defect.

The fix of this issue is scheduled in SAC release 2026.8.18.
