Symptom
"HTTP 500 - HTTP request failed" appears when saving changes after editing a product in the Manage Product Master data app. The error only occurs for products that have multiple MRP areas and is triggered specifically during the Edit action. The Create action "Manage Product Master data" app is not affected and functions as expected.
For example, add a new entry in Description:
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
Environment
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the Manage Product Master data app.
- Select a product.
- Choose Edit.
- Change any field.
- Choose Save.
- Observe the error 500 - HTTP request failed.
Resolution
The issue has already been fixed and the correction is planned to be delivered with the Hotfix Collection CE 2608 HFC03. The implementation is planned to take place in the next maintenance window on August 2nd. Please be informed that this is current state of planning and may be changed by SAP at any time without notice.
As the workaround, use Change Material or MM02 app to proceed with the business process.
