3783202 - Synchronization between SAP Datasphere and SAP Business Data Cloud formations fails with error 99999 (migration not complete)

Symptom

  • Synchronization between SAP Datasphere and SAP Business Data Cloud systems fails for a formation.
  • Error: “Operation: unassign has failed. Receiver Tenant State: ERROR, Application Namespace: sap.bdc-cockpit. Module: catalog. Code: 99999. Message: An error has occurred.”
  • Error detail: The SAP Datasphere system can't be excluded from the formation because the migration isn't complete. Go to the SAP Datasphere system to check its status. After the migration completes, confirm it, and then retry excluding the system.
  • Clicking Resynchronize on the affected formation displays the same error.
